Salute to State College's fine Navy top gun pilot.
Posted for: DANFORTH ELLITHORPE WHITE:
I was just a young kid when I lived in State College from 1952 to 1959. At that time, the only military service shows I watched were "Sergeant Bilko" and "Navy Log", which I think may have been his favorite, as he was a Navy aviator. He had done so much for our Country. Even though I live in Plainfield, New Jersey now, I regard the Commander as one very brave hero. His devotion to Duty, Honor, and Country ... though it is West Point's motto, it sets the tone not just for the Army, but also for the sister services as well, including the Navy ... his devotion to Duty, Honor, and Country, will NEVER ... I say again, will NEVER be extinguished from our minds.
