Spring, Summer, Fall Internships
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) offers a number of office-based internship positions (Washington D.C.) throughout the spring, summer and fall. Interns will be exposed to multiple facets of VVMF and be actively engaged in departmental work such as: grassroots mobilization, field organizing, internet projects, communications, marketing and events.
Our office environment is casual, but we do serious work. It's busy, sometimes noisy and sometimes quiet. There are meetings, get-togethers and other events occurring in the office on a regular basis. You’ll enjoy a great working environment and opportunities for advancement.
Qualifications: To be eligible for an internship at VVMF, candidates must be (or will be) undergraduate level students or recent graduates within 6 months of completing their undergraduate degree.
Day to day duties may include: research and fact-checking, trip and event preparation, collection of press clips, donor database management, and administrative tasks. Interns are required to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and can work up to 35 hours per week. A small stipend is provided based on the number of hours worked per week or students can receive academic credit consistent with their university's guidelines (Please Note: interns are not eligible to earn both a stipend and academic credit).
