Submit Changes to the DoD
If you have knowledge that a Virtual Wall record is incorrect, you may submit recommended changes to the Department of Defense. Follow the steps below to ensure timely consideration.

At a minimum you will need to submit the following information: name, branch of service, and (if known) the date of birth or casualty date.

In addition, you will need to specify what piece of information is to be changed. Include both the current information and the proposed information as it is requested to be changed.

The most important piece of information you will need to provide is the relationship of the person making the request to the deceased veteran. The DOD will make every effort to be as cooperative as possible, but reserves the right to investigate any record conflicts.
