Volunteers

Volunteers at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial provide assistance to the more than four million annual visitors. In addition, volunteers assist the Memorial Fund with its many outreach programs, such as Teach Vietnam Teachers' Conference and The Wall That Heals Traveling Replica and Museum.

The Memorial Fund furnishes the volunteers with the necessary supplies to accomplish their volunteer support. Each summer, the Memorial Fund honors these hardworking individuals each year at a luncheon held in Washington, D.C. The Memorial Fund recognizes and applauds the great services provided by these dedicated men and women.

How to become a volunteer
There are a number of ways to become a volunteer at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

One is by registering as a volunteer with the National Park Service (NPS). As a volunteer with the NPS you would spend time at The Wall assisting visitors ' answering questions, looking up names on The Wall, doing name rubbings, etc. To register with the NPS, contact the Vietnam Veterans Memorial NPS Kiosk at (202) 634-1568 or (202) 426-6843 or visit the NPS Web site.

You also can sign up to volunteer with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. We engage in a number of commemorative and educational activities aimed at preserving the legacy of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, promoting healing and educating about the impact of the Vietnam War.

As a long-distance volunteer, you can assist visitors at the Memorial Fund's The Wall That Heals Traveling Memorial and Museum. To find out when The Wall That Heals will be visiting a location near you, check the tour schedule

For more information about becoming a local or long-distance volunteer, please contact the Memorial Fund at (202) 393-0090 or via email at vvmf@vvmf.org.
